Eligible employees may accrue sick leave at the rate of one (1) hours of sick leave for every 40 hours worked under Washington State Law. Upon working 630 hours in a school year, eligible employees may be eligible for insurance benefits through School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB) which includes medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current First Aid/CPR card
- Current Type 2 driver’s license
- Previous high school/middle school coaching experience
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible to the Head Coach and Athletic Director.
- Must be able to attend all after school practices, games, meetings, etc.
- Must be able to drive a district van to transport participants.
- Assist the Head Coach in all matters relative to the sports season.
- Conform to all rules of conduct before players and the public that are required of the Head Coach.
- Assume the responsibilities of the Head Coach in his/her absence.
- See that all students participating on your team have received clearance from the Athletic Office and that they meet state eligibility requirements.
- Maintain a positive relationship with students, staff, parents, and community by modeling respect, cooperation, and professionalism with others, recognizing the personal achievements and professional contributions of others and demonstrating knowledge of a sensitivity toward individuals and groups from all racial, ethnic/cultural, national socio-economic backgrounds.
- Distribute and collect athletic equipment, keep accurate records of this equipment, and submit this record to the Athletic Director at the conclusion of the season.
- Work with other coaches in a positive and productive manner.
- Organize, direct, and supervise practice sessions and contests in a manner that is consistent with the district and middle school philosophy.
- Accompany and direct the team in all contests at home and away and to be responsible for the conduct of the players.
- Monitor all students participating in athletics for conformity to the district and state eligibility requirements.
- Treat all injuries with discretion, rendering first aid when necessary, and following through with injuries by inquiring on the status of each injury.
- File an accident report form with the school’s athletic office immediately after the occurrence of each injury.
- Supervise dressing room facilities.
- Submit equipment orders to the Athletic Director.
- Demonstrate professional growth by attending clinics.
- Performs such other duties which may be assigned by the Athletic Director/Principal.
